Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER)
The Marshall School's Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) was selected in October 1990 by the U.S. Department of Education and is one of its 30 national centers. The center's mandate is to broaden and deepen knowledge about international business among USC students, faculty and business stakeholders to increase their international competitiveness. Between 1990 and 2006, the U.S. Department of Education provided CIBER with $5.2 million of support, which has been more than matched by USC cash and in-kind contributions to support over 130 projects that have helped to internationalize teaching and research programs throughout the Marshall School of Business and USC. CIBER won a four-year renewal worth $1.4 million for the next four years. CIBER Director Richard Drobnick and USC faculty coordinate and direct the projects.
