490x Directed Research (2-8, max 8) Individual research and readings. Not available for graduate credit. Prerequisite: departmental approval.

513 Systems Management and Organizational Theory (3, FaSp) Systems approach to integrating organizational considerations: resource requirements and allocations; internal control systems; safety; strategic planning in adaptive, dynamic environments.

531 Human and Organizational Factors in Technological Systems (3, FaSp) Performance and interface problems in human-machine systems; theory and data applied for productive and safe operation of technological systems; organization and environment; personnel subsystem; workplace design; ergonomics.

552 Probability, Risk and Statistics (3, FaSp) Probability theory, decomposition and probability assessment, theoretical probability models, Bayesian inference, concepts of risk, risk analysis, event trees, fault trees, correlation and regression analysis.

587 Seminar: Critical Synthesis and Project (3, Sp) Development of a written project that critically synthesizes a student's degree area of specialization and directions for research and application. Recommended preparation: 30 previous graduate units.

590 Directed Research (1-12) Research leading to the master's degree. Maximum units which may be applied to the degree to be determined by the department. Graded CR/NC.

594abz Master's Thesis (2-2-0) Credit on acceptance of thesis. Graded IP/CR/NC.

599 Special Topics (2-4, max 8) Topics will relate to new or emerging trends and developments in the field.
