The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers a one-year full-time nurse-midwifery education program leading to a basic certificate and 20 units of graduate credit through the School of Medicine. The program provides didactic and clinical education to prepare nurse-midwives to care for women and their families throughout the childbearing cycle. Applications are not being accepted for the Nurse-Midwifery certificate program for the 1997-98 academic year.
Course Requirements
Twenty units of course work are required. All courses listed are required; no electives are required.

A thesis or research paper is not required.
