A student attending USC may apply to minor in cinema-television if he or she (1) has been admitted to regular standing in a major other than cinema-television (no "undecided" majors will be considered); (2) has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and is maintaining normal degree progress; and (3) is not under any type of departmental, academic or university disqualification. Cinema-television minor applications are evaluated by a panel of faculty members. Admissions are made for the fall and spring semesters.

Note: Students admitted to the CNTV minor program cannot subsequently apply for admission to any cinema-television major.

Application Procedures

To be considered for admission to the cinema-television minor program, the applicant will be required to submit the following materials: (1) departmental application, (2) academic records, including current USC transcripts, (3) personal statement, (4) portfolio list, and (5) three letters of recommendation.

Grade Point Average Requirement

A minimum grade of C (2.0) in each course is required. A grade of C- (1.7) or lower does not fulfill a minor requirement.
