Management Development Program in Health Care
The USC Management Development Program in Health Care is designed for managers representing various areas of health care. The primary concern of this certificate program is to increase the participants' knowledge in the areas of management and leadership.
The topic areas covered include management information systems, leadership, decision making, marketing, human resource management, managerial finance and accounting, managerial communication, managed care, health care policies and governmental issues. The topics covered will prove vital to managers in both technical and functional areas who desire increased responsibilities. Senior managers who are especially concerned with strategic planning, policy issues and the future of health care will find the program equally challenging and interesting.

Continuing Education Division
The School of Pharmacy, Postgraduate Education Division, is a recognized provider of continuing education by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) and the California State Board of Pharmacy. The school serves as a primary educational resource for pharmacists in California and as a supplementary resource for other health professionals and pharmacists, nationally and internationally. Numerous refresher courses are designed to improve knowledge in the areas of practice management, patient management, disease states and therapeutics, new drugs and dosage forms.

Foreign Graduate Division
The School of Pharmacy has designed special courses for students with foreign professional degrees who are unable to practice because of state licensing requirements. This special three-course series focuses on fundamental principles and skills required for clinical management and evaluation for drug therapy, and emphasizes pathophysiology of diseases, clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetics of drugs used in therapeutic management of patients. Lectures and case studies are utilized.
