Degree Programs

The School of Communication offers programs of study leading to a B.A. and minor in Communication and an M.A. and Ph.D. in communication, as well as an M.A. in Communication Management. The Communication Management Program has established dual degree programs with the Law School and Hebrew Union College.

Communication has become a watchword of modern society, for it is through communication that our social, economic and cultural lives are shaped - globally, daily, comprehensively. The communication discipline focuses on how and with what success individuals strategically employ symbols (language, art and other modes of expression) to achieve goals. Those who undertake the study of communication examine the content and the techniques of communication, in relation to the chosen medium, as well as its processes and effects.
